Chris Koenig is Director and Co-Founder of Pacific Union Property Advisors LLC. After starting the business under the Pacific Union Holdings umbrella in 2010 with a small portfolio of clients, Pacific Union Property Advisors has grown to be one of the largest property tax appeal firms in California. Mr. Koenig has successfully negotiated hundreds of property tax appeals in California for multi-million dollar properties. He uses his experience in all aspects of real estate including: development, entitlements, leasing and management to negotiate a fair-market value assessment for Pacific Union Property Advisors' clients. Prior to joining Pacific Union, Mr. Koenig worked for a full-service real estate development and management company in the Napa Valley. He holds a degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
Michael "Mac" Bernie
Michael “Mac” Bernie is an Analyst at Pacific Union Property Advisors LLC. Mac is responsible for property valuation analysis of all property types and aids in property tax appeal negotiations with the County Assessor's Office. Mac also manages the client database within our cloud-based client management and appeal tracking system, run on the Salesforce.com platform, to ensure all appeals are tracked and clients are updated with the progress of each appeal. Prior to joining Pacific Union in 2012, Mr. Bernie worked for PNC Bank as a financial analyst and asset manager focusing on the risk management of a large portfolio of California apartment buildings. He holds a degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is a licensed California Real Estate Agent and is a 2013 CFA Level II Candidate.
Melinda Waters brings over 9 years of administrative and operations experience to Pacific Union Property Advisors. Melinda facilitates invoicing, appeal resolution tracking and working with the County departments to track refunds/reduced tax bills for our clients.
Matt Tunney is co-founder and Senior Vice President of Pacific Union Holdings Inc, the parent company of Pacific Union Property Advisors, LLC. Matt assists in marketing and client management of Pacific Union Property Advisors' clients. He began his career with Pacific Union Holdings in 1991 and has extensive knowledge of the homebuilding industry with particular emphasis on project entitlements, construction and sales & marketing. Mr. Tunney also is the parent company's expert on managing its commercial properties and is a licensed real estate broker and general building contractor. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in international political economics.
Lori Waltzer's is responsible for all oversight, financial reporting and compliance. She is also responsible for all risk management for Pacific Union Property Advisors LLC. Ms. Waltzer is Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Union Holdings, Inc. (parent company of Pacific Union Property Advisors LLC). Prior to joining Pacific Union, Ms. Waltzer worked at CB Richard Ellis as a financial consultant, where she was responsible for valuing large commercial real estate assets and preparing detailed leasehold analyses. Ms. Waltzer holds an undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Jeff Abramson is President/CEO and founder of Pacific Union Holdings, the parent company of Pacific Union Property Advisors LLC. He is responsible for the overall direction and strategy of Pacific Union Property Advisors. His expertise includes residential, commercial, multifamily, and public private partnerships. Prior to joining Pacific Union in 1986, Mr. Abramson worked for a real estate development and management company in Santa Barbara, California. He has a degree in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Bill Tunney is co-founder of Pacific Union Holdings, parent company of Pacific Union Property Advisors LLC, and has served on the Executive Committee of its predecessor company, Pacific Union Company, since 1978. Prior to joining Pacific Union in 1978, Mr. Tunney directed his own real estate marketing company for ten years. He holds both an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Stanford University.
